Should food with a little mold go in the Bokashi composter?

Generally, it would be best to avoid adding moldy food to the bokashi composter as it can disturb the fermentation process.

By adding rotting and/or moldy foods, you run the risk of transforming the process into rotting. There is some wiggle room with slightly moldy food, but you should pay extra attention to creating appropriate conditions to guarantee that fermentation will take place (squeeze out the air and add more bokashi bran).
